FUND RAISING
GIFT CARDS! SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!
You can help us raise some money in a very painless way. Please call Bernice at the office or look at our website and see the form which lists companies from whom we can purchase gift cards, as well as the percentage of sales that comes to BSOSS. For example, if you purchase a gift card for Chapters, BSOSS will receive 10% of the face value of the gift card.
Make your Christmas giving easy and help BSOSS at the same time. Purchase gift cards through BSOSS. It doesn’t get easier than that!! ... ...

BOARD CHANGES
Arlene Fox who has graciously served on the Board for over a year has resigned because she is taking courses at SFU that are an important focus for her right now. We are fortunate to welcome Barbara Smith to serve on the Board, effective at our January meeting. We have just learned that Anne Parkhurst is willing to join our Board and we look forward to welcoming Anne at our meeting on March 9th. ... ... ...

We are sorry to lose Nisha Ali who has been our Board Treasurer for the past 2 years. Nisha is leaving the Board because of commitments at home and promises to return at a later date.
As a result of losing Nisha with her accounting skills, we have hired Elaine Lethler who will provide bookkeeping/accounting services on a contract basis for BSOSS. Welcome, Elaine, and thank you for joining us! ... ... ...

CHRISTMAS MEETING
Our traditional Christmas meeting (while no longer our AGM) will be held at noon on Wed. December 8th at the Holdom Community Room. If you have not received an invitation, please consider yourself invited by reading this message!! We are having a “White Elephant” gift exchange. This means bring a wrapped gift from something you already own but cannot use. Perhaps it was a gift to you, but the wrong colour, style or fit. Perhaps it’s something you bought but haven’t found the right recipient for, or it could be your own baking or handicraft, but do NOT purchase a new gift for this occasion. ... ... ...
